EATON

An important post village, and capital of Preble county, in Washington township, 
situated on Seven Mile creek, and on the Eaton and Hamilton railway, 50 miles 
north by west from Cincinnati.  It contains the county buildings, twenty-one 
stores of various kinds, a large flax manufactory, etc.  Population 2,000.
