From Miami Valley Pioneer Index, I understand that a Benjamin MCDANIEL and a John MCDANIEL appear in the federal census of 1840. Does anyone know either of these. I am looking for a Benjamin MCDANIEL who married Ann/Nancy FEE in Bracken Co., KY, in 1810. He was living in Clark Co (not in census index 1830) possibly in 1820 and definitely in 1832. My ancestors, his probable uncle and cousin were both named John (but not the John in Preble). Appreciate any info and will share freely.
Looking for Mary NEARON, wife of John HALL. Married circa 1825. Lived in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1840's. Mary NEARON may have been a descendant of Peter KELLER. Believe that Mary was connected to NEARONs of Preble Co. Ohio and Peter KELLER was from Montgomery Co., Ohio.
Looking for GARDNER in the second half of the nineteenth century. Jacob Miller GARDNER married Eliza Ann SNIDER in Butler County 24 Jun 1847. One of their daughters, Melvina (Mellie) GARDNER (m Lou Jenks BEAUCHAMP) claims in her DAR application to have been born in Gratis, Preble Co., OH. Jacob and Eliza are in the 1850 census in Butler County, apparently before Mellie was born. Jacob was a shoemaker. Eliza died in 1907 back in Miltonville, Butler County. I really would like to find Mellie's birthdate.
Researching in Preble County: DIERDORFF.....(all spellings!) and any of these people who married a DIERDORFF: LESH, Elizabeth MILLER, Cynthia (actually from Darke Co.) NEAL SWITZER EMERICK.....(probably originally Emmerich) and -anyone- else who married a Preble DIERDORFF!

I am hunting for the parents of David Marion PULLEN b. June 1,1817 Va.d.May 4,1877 Carroll Co.,In., Mar. Aug. 6, 1840, to Susannah Angeline COOPER the dau.of Jacob COOPER and Nancy DECOURSEY COOPER I think they were married in Ohio as the lived there in Preble Co.in 1840 moved to In.in the 1843? Susannah father and sisters started a church in Preble Co.Ohio 1840.Please help if you have any inf. Jacob COOPER and dau. Livicey and Elizabeth help start this church. Thank you.
I am looking for information of Samuel WISE. Do not have any info except for one of his children's names. He had a son named Roy WISE that lived in New Paris Ohio and was married to Bertha. Bertha died about 1978, at the age of around 80. Roy was already decessed at the time. Any info would be appreciated as I am just starting to search for the WISE family!
Looking for descendants of John G. METTERT. He was born 1818 in Preble Co. Ohio. He married a Margaret, surname unknown at this time. John G died in 1876 in Hillsdale Co., Michigan. They had the following children: Nimrod 1841, George W. 1842, Rosana 1846, William A 1849, Mary 1851, John 1853, Margaret 1857, Jacob 1860 and Eva K 1867.
