Migrate , Bef 1807 to Butler Co, OH, where he took up government land, in Fairfield Twp. In 1819 he sold this land, and bought 79 acres in Reily Twp, about 11 miles south of the Preble Co., OH, county line. Son Isaac b. I am looking for information from Preble County on my HORNADAY, PIKE, HART, GIFFORD, PIERCE lineage. My family owned land and lived in Gratis/West Elkton, Preable County since 1812. I have a great deal of vital statistics on this line, specifically male, but little background info on the women and the PIERCE males. I have several postcards announcing SHAFFER Family Reunions from 1928 to 1941 which were mailed to my great grandmother. The 1928 reunion was the 7th Annual held "at the home of S. A. Shaffer on the John J. KAYLOR farm, 4-1/2 miles north of Eaton, Ohio" on September 2. Some of the names of the individuals are: Elizabeth HARTWICK, Robert Shaffer, Grover Shaffer, Harriet Shaffer, Grace Shaffer, Minnie BUCHER, Alvie Shaffer, Ernest STOUDER, Ralph SHAFER, and Bob Shaffer. Would like to contact any of these people or their descendants for a genealogical exchange of information.

My HOPPLE people are all mixed up in the county records with the HUBBLE people. Is anyone doing the HUBBLE family? The HUBBLEs came to Hamilton County ca 1820. Some of them can be found shortly after in Montgomery Co, as well as Preble Co. The name HOPPLE must have sounded a lot like HUBBLE to the Preble County clerk! I need help !!!
Alexander HAMILTON moved to Preble Co., Ohio around 1805 and his grown children: Samuel, Isarel, John, Jane, and Nancy soon followed along with their families. Alexander was a member of Hopewell Church and upon his death in 1817 he was buried in Hopewell Cemetery. Alexander's brother Andrew also moved to Ohio and buried in Eaton. Both fought in the Revolutionary War. I am seeking information on Alexander's wife (name unknown) and additional information on the family from 1805 - 1835 in Preble Co. Ohio.
